General Cargo

This type of cargo does not require any specialized handling or handling, it must only be contained in appropriate packaging. Within this classification are textiles, simple auto parts, moving (furniture and belongings), packaged foods, among others.

For the transportation of this type of cargo, no attached documentation is required.

This type of cargo has no restriction for its acceptance at ECOJET S.A., except for the relevant coordination due to space in mailboxes and availability of the aircraft's payload.

Perishable Cargo

Perishable cargo is cargo that is subject to decomposition, deterioration or depreciation. It is cargo that must be transported with priority, because it has a very short shelf life, such as fruits, fish, sausages, etc.
Typical products in this category are:

  1. Dairy products
  2. Frozen products
  3. Flowers, fruits and vegetables
  4. Serums, vaccines
  5. Fish, meat, newspapers, press material, etc.

To ship this type of cargo, it is necessary to have packaging that can reduce heat loss and prevent product leaks.

Human Remains

HUMAN REMAINS Term used by airline companies and civil aviation authorities to generalize the expression “corpses, human and cadaveric remains during their handling and transportation.

Eco Jet S.A. transports HUM as cargo by air duly authorized in writing by the National Cargo or Cargo Control Headquarters.

1. Acceptance

  • Only HUM will be accepted for transportation if they have died from a non-contagious disease, and whose corpse has undergone formalization processes (NOTE 1) for its conservation. This process must be carried out within 48 hours from the date of death and must be accredited by a death certificate.

Note 1: Formolization of a corpse is understood as the process carried out to delay the decomposition process. If an autopsy was performed on the body, the corresponding additional procedures must be complied with, which must be certified by means of the medical or additional certificate.

  • The weight of the load will be considered for collection, according to the approximate age of the corpse:
    • Newborn to 1 year:    30 Kg
    • Between 1 year to 5 years: 50 Kg
    • Between 6 years to 13 years: 100 Kg
    • Over 14 years: 150 Kg

2. Packaging

Appropriate packaging for national shipments must contain an adequate combination to prevent leaks, between the coffin, absorbent material and a tarp according to the following:

  • Strong wooden coffin whose interior must have absorbent material, this must be closed and sealed.

  • Protection with cardboard that will also serve as absorbent material.

3. Labeling and Marking

The labels and markings on a coffin must be the same as those used for general cargo; other markings than those indicated below will not be accepted:

  1. Name and Address of the shipper and consignee, adding when possible a telephone number of the consignee.
  2. Air Waybill Number (AWB).
  3. Destination airport.
  4. Number of pieces that make up the shipment.
  5. Weight.
  6. The symbol (arrow (⇧) should be placed to indicate the location of the head
  7. Handling labels: “POSITION” and “FRAGILE”.

The Requirements for the transportation of HUM in Eco Jet S.A. are the following:

  1. Authorization by the National Cargo or Cargo Control Headquarters.
  2. Death certificate
  3. Certificate of formalization, if the human remains are within 48 hours of death.
  4. Embalming certificate, if the human remains are more than 48 hours old.
  5. Police transport permit
  6. Proper packaging: (Packaging description) the final packaging must be lined with canvas (to prevent liquid leaks) provided by the client.
  7. The packaging must not give off odors and/or exudations.

5. Delivery of Human Remains

Prior arrangements should be made to ensure that shipments of human remains are removed by the consignee as soon as they have arrived at their final destination.

Air transportation contract

Important Notice: It is recommended that the sender, at their own expense, assume the contracting of Insurance to protect their interests against all eventualities.

FIRSTPARTIES: a) The CARRIER, hereinafter ECO-JET S.A., is the Airline responsible for transportation; b) the SENDER is the natural or legal person who embarks and sends the cargo; c) the RECIPIENT is the natural or legal person to whom the cargo is addressed.

SECOND – AIR TRANSPORTATION CONTRACT: This document constitutes a voluntary contract of adhesion, therefore, it is not negotiable. THIRD – THE IDENTITY OF THE SENDER AND THE RECIPIENT: To sign the Air Waybill and this Air Transport Contract, the SENDER has the obligation to identify himself by means of a current Identity Card, which must not have damages or scratches that give rise to doubts about its validity or authenticity, whose data will be transcribed in this document and ratified with your signature. Likewise, the RECIPIENT must appear armed with his Identity Card to be able to pick up the transported cargo or parcel. with his signature. FOURTH – OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENDER: a) He is responsible for the accuracy of the indications and declarations concerning the cargo that are recorded in the Air Waybill. If his statements are irregular, inaccurate, incomplete or false, he will be liable for the damages that such circumstance causes to the carrier or third parties; b) has the obligation to show the contents of the shipment when depositing it in the offices of ECO-JET S.A.. In the event that the cargo is of extreme care due to its quality or fragility, the word “FRAGIL” must be stated on its packaging; If it corresponds to being transported in a vertical or horizontal position, you must inform it for its corresponding registration in the Air Waybill; c) must deposit the shipment properly labeled and marked with the correct address of the RECIPIENT, packaged in a manner that guarantees its safe transportation under ordinary and normal cargo handling conditions; d) is responsible for all expenses and costs related to shipment. All expenses for return of cargo to the point of origin expressly requested, including storage or deposit costs, are his responsibility; e) must present all the documents that must be attached to the Air Waybill to comply with the requirements demanded by national authorities and f) is responsible for complying with the carrier's own safety regulations.

FIFTH – RIGHT OF SHIPMENT INSPECTION: ECO-JET S.A. has the right to review and verify any shipment in the presence of the SENDER under the “OPEN CAPACITY” modality without any limitation. In the event that the SENDER does not allow the review of the shipment, ECO-JET S.A. reserves the right to deny transportation service.

SIXTH - UNCLAIMED CARGO: If after six (6) months the cargo is not withdrawn or claimed by the RECIPIENT, or its return to the point of origin is not requested by the SENDER, it will be inventoried and disposed of according to standard. The period described above will not apply to cargo considered perishable, reserving ECO-JET S.A. the right to decide their destination for reasons of hygiene and health. ECO-JET S.A. is not responsible for any damage or loss suffered during its deposit.

SEVENTH – RIGHT TO OPPOSE TRANSPORTATION: Protected by current regulations, ECO-JET S.A. has every right to oppose or refuse to transport any type of cargo whose packaging is in poor condition or is not appropriate for the type of cargo declared. Likewise, you may refuse to transport any article or cargo that in this Air Waybill presents a false declaration, erroneous valuations or that is declared as material not acceptable for transport.

EIGHTH – LIMITATION OF LIABILITY OF THE CARRIER: In case of accidental destruction, loss or breakdown of the cargo, the responsibility of ECO-JET S.A. is limited to reimburse up to the value of 17 SDR (Special Drawing Rights) in compliance with what is established in article No. 127 of Law 2902 – Civil Aviation Law, unless special declaration by the consignor or shipper to the carrier at the time of the review and/or delivery of shipments and by paying an eventual supplementary fee. In such case, the carrier is obliged to pay the declared amount, unless he proves that the actual value of the cargo is less than the declared amount or that said amount is greater than the actual interest of the shipper. The carrier will not be liable if he proves that he and his dependents have taken all measures to avoid the damage or that it was impossible for him to have taken them.

NINTH – EXCLUSION OF CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES: ECO-JET S.A. will not be responsible - in any case - for consequential damages such as loss of economic income, loss of profits, interest, market losses or any other civil damage arising from the destruction, loss or breakdown of the cargo and that were claimed by the SENDER, the RECIPIENT or third parties linked to them, limiting themselves only to complying with the provisions of the eighth clause.

TENTH - RESPONSIBILITIES THAT ARE NOT ASSUMED: ECO-JET S.A. is not responsible for: a) loss of jewelry, money or values that were not formally declared in the Air Waybill; b) delays in the delivery of the cargo due to unforeseen weather reasons, force majeure or reasonable and justified cause that makes proper fulfillment impossible; c) for any electrical or magnetic damage, erasure or any other damage caused to data, electronic images, photographs or recordings of any kind; d) for damage caused to perishable cargo caused by justified climatic or technical changes or, where applicable, due to delay in the removal of the cargo attributable to the Recipient and e) for damage to the cargo to the extent that these are due to nature. , defect or defects inherent to the cargo.

ELEVENTH – CLAIMS: a) In case of breakdown or partial loss of cargo, the RECIPIENT must contact ECO-JET S.A. your claim and protest, in writing, within a period of fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt, it being essential for both parties to verify the damage caused at the time of receipt; b) in case of total loss, resulting from loss, disappearance or destruction, the protest must be made within the same deadlines but counted from the date on which the Carrier informs the Sender or Recipient of the cargo that it has been the loss occurred; c) the lack of protest within the established deadlines makes any action against ECO-JET S.A. inadmissible; d) no claim for damage or loss will be considered if transportation costs or duties have not been fully paid. The amounts claimed cannot be deducted from transportation costs.

TWELFTH – CARGO DELIVERY: ECO-JET S.A. will verify, in the presence of the RECIPIENT, the status of the cargo at the time of delivery. Once the cargo has been removed from the ECO-JET S.A. storage facility. No type of claim related to it will be accepted. Any situation that may have affected the status of the cargo must be expressly stated in the Air Waybill at the time of delivery to the RECIPIENT. ECO-JET S.A. will deliver the shipments or shipments to its offices, having no obligation to inform, at destination, the arrival of the cargo to the RECIPIENT.

THIRTEENTH – MATERIALS THAT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR TRANSPORTATION: a) Firearms; b) dangerous articles restricted by IATA regulations; c) dangerous materials, explosives, fuels, drugs and precursors; d) live animals; e) goods of any nature whose transportation is prohibited by national or international regulations or by the specific laws of the country of origin, of the country crossed in transit or by the country of destination of the shipment. Any shipment or item that requires special authorization for its transportation may only be transported by ECO-JET S.A., if it is accompanied by the respective authorization, issued by the competent Authority.

FOURTEENTH – TRANSPORTATION WITH PAYMENT AT DESTINATION: In the event that ECO-JET S.A. has agreed to collect the value of transportation at destination, reserves the right to deny delivery of the cargo until all transportation amounts have been paid. If the RECIPIENT refuses to pay the transportation value, ECO-JET S.A. The cargo will be returned to its origin to be delivered to the SENDER after canceling the transportation used, leaving ECO-JET S.A. released from all liability resulting from any damage that may arise from this situation.

FIFTEENTH – INSURANCE AT THE REQUEST OF THE SENDER: a) ECO-JET S.A. may contract Insurance, upon payment, at the request or on behalf of the SENDER, for an amount not exceeding USD 25,000.- (TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND 00/100 NORTH AMERICAN DOLLARS); b) the Insurance coverage will be governed solely by the terms and conditions contained in the respective Policy, issued by a third insurance company; c) consequential or consequential damages and losses or damages resulting from delays in transportation will not be covered by said Policy.

SIXTEENTH – CURRENT LEGISLATION: The Air Waybill and the National Air Transportation Contract are governed by Law 2902 - Civil Aviation Law in Bolivia, the D.S. No. 285 of 09/09/09 and other regulations on the matter. In the event that the transportation of the cargo requires a stopover, stop or has a final destination abroad, it will be
